St. Mary’s Woodland – Tree Replanting Programme

We are delighted to announce that on 29th November 2025, the Parent Association, Mrs. Antonia D., parents, and students of St. Mary’s gathered in our garden at Vasa Village for the St. Mary’s Woodland Replanting Programme. This meaningful event was held to adopt new trees and replant those that had suffered due to the lack of rain.

The day began with Sr. Roly, who led us in our daily prayers: Our Father and Hail Mary. We then lifted our voices in the Hymn to Creation, led by Sr. Norfe and Sr. Jyothi, sincerely praying for the blessing of rain. While it was saddening to see the plants affected by drought, the enthusiasm of our students brought renewed hope. Their joy in planting the trees and placing their names beside them made the day truly special.

We thank the Lord for the beauty of this morning, for His presence felt in the calm of our garden, and for the grandeur of the mountains surrounding us. Today, as we replant and renew this space—now named “St. Mary’s Woodland”—we ask God to bless everyone gathered here, especially our students, whose dedication inspired this initiative for the good of our school.

The creation of this garden, in honour of St. Mary’s 100 years of service, stands as a symbol of love, gratitude, and unity. We, the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart, deeply appreciate your generosity, hard work, and commitment to our institution.

Representing all our sisters, Sr. Roly Thomas Kaithakulath, Sr. Norfe Roa, and Sr. Jyothi joined us today to express their closeness and to acknowledge the efforts of everyone who contributed to this programme.

May God bless each of you, strengthen your families, and continue to guide St. Mary’s with His grace and peace.
